NEW! EDITION
2018, 18th of January CAPITAL V8, Release iX, Available Now!

CAPITAL Office Business Software is pleased to announce that CAPITAL V8, Release iX is

available for general download for users with service cover.

A white paper on the new features in the X release will be made available shortly. In the meantime please consult the What’s New help topic found within the application for further details. Highlights of CAPITAL V8 Release iX include:

CAPITAL Business Manager

Stock Adjustments are now organised in a dedicated area. It is possible to manage, approve, submit and undo stock adjustments. Stock adjustments may be used to alter physical stock levels and associated costs. When used in conjunction with the general ledger, write-downs and other types of adjustments may be posted to user specified general ledger accounts. Adjusted stock may include notes and narrations and may be linked to a user defined list of reason codes. It is also possible to print, email, import or export stock adjustments. Existing customer summary invoices and payments may now be copied using the new Copy button. This can save time if you need to enter a new transaction that is very similar to an existing transaction. Existing supplier transactions including payments may now be copied using the new Copy button. This can save time if you need to enter a new transaction that is the same as or similar to an existing transaction. You may now specify product descriptions for customer related transactions or supplier related transactions or both. For example, the product description that appears on your customer invoices may be different from the product description that appears on your supplier purchase order. Requires Enterprise or Corporate Editions. You can now press CTRL+F9 at any time to view general ledger postings generated in the background, typically after processing a transaction. You may now print pick lists by specified Zone range. Requires Enterprise or Corporate Editions. You may now print pick lists for a specific stock location and your preferred pick list print selections may now be retained. Within the Back Order Control Centre you may now consolidate back orders by Zone, with the weight, volume and other properties of your back orders itemised. Requires Enterprise or Corporate Editions.

Assembly Manager

Graphics and cost summary information has been added to the Assembly Manager template and production lists. Assemblies may now be locked via Assembly Properties. A locked assembly prevents its materials, labour, expenses and finished items from being altered. Locked assemblies cannot be deleted unless unlocked first. Query Builder support has been added to the Assembly Manager Templates and Assembly Task lists. It is now possible to reverse build an assembly. Select the assembly on the assembly list and press the Reverse button. It is now possible to review and raise purchase orders based on stock assembly material requirements using the new Assembly Stock Requirements tool. Assemblies may now be classified by stages. Stock may also be allocated by stage. For example, an assembly that is committed to be built can be set to allocate (reserve) its required materials, whereas an assembly that is left set to 'open' will not reserve any required materials for its manufacture. It is now possible to partially build an assembly. For example if your assembly is for 100 finished items, you may build 95 now and return later to build the remaining 5 units. This is useful when unanticipated stock shortages or component failures arise. You may view where all parts or components or finished items are found within assemblies by using the Assembly Usage tool. You may now alter on an assembly the actual material or component quantity usage, just prior to building the assembly. You may now specify the quantity of finished product on an assembly that has failed testing or quality assurance. Finished product costs will automatically be adjusted as a consequence. It is now possible to assign non-diminishing stock items to the materials list of an assembly. Non diminishing cost values will be ignored or may be posted to a separate expense account within your chart of accounts. It is now possible to assign negative stock quantities to the materials list so long as the stock item is not a kit and the total value of the materials list is not less than zero. For example, this may be useful if when producing X you are left with subsidiary products A, B and C, that may be used for other purposes. Assembly tasks and assembly templates may now be sorted and searched by their primary finished product code. You may assign an estimated materials cost to an assembly materials list and later compare this to the actual material cost. If you do not wish to apportion finished costs by a percentage, you may now specify a fixed finished cost dollar value instead. The total of your finished cost dollar values must add up to the total of your labour, materials and expense inputs. Categories may now be assigned to assemblies and it is possible to group and search by category code. Assembly Manager Material Requirements consolidates all materials and components found on an assembly and reports on the current stock situation and short falls. It is also possible to raise purchase orders directly to meet material requirements.
