I've set-up a new general ledger and when I go to run the end period wizard, it doesn't ask me for closing stock. I have set-up opening and closing stock accounts in my chart of accounts. Any ideas?

Go into the General Ledger Code Maintenance window (Maintenance|General Ledger Codes from the main menu) and locate your opening and closing stock accounts.

Check that under 'Chart Type' they have been set to 'Opening Stock' and 'Closing Stock' respectively, and not some other type such as 'Posting'.
