    Detecting print method

    by coldrick » Thu Jun 05, 2008 9:16 am

Is there some way to detect which method is being used to print a form (e-mail, fax, hardcopy)?

We would like to set the formula in our forms to display an image file if the form is being faxed or e-mailed, but display no image if it is being printed to hardcopy (we print the forms on pre-printed stationery that already has the logo on it).

We should be OK with the actual coding for display/no display - just need to know if we can detect the output method.

Unfortunately, no, not at present. To support this functionality the print job queue will have to be extended with a new output type property. We will do this in a future release.
