Form printing options

Using Capital Enterprise 7.6

We have a form that we use specifically for e-mailing and faxing.

We don't use a faxing by SMTP service, we print to fax software called SnappyFax.

We have the form set up now so that the Print Dialog is supressed and the Print To: printer is Snappy Fax. So when the user selects EMAIL on the "Print Transaction" window the e-mail send box is shown, and when the user selects hardcopy, the Fax window is displayed.

QUESTION: Is there a way to set up so that if the user selects FAX in the "Print Transaction" window, it will use the standard printer that has been set in the form (ie, SnappyFax), or alternatively, can we disable the FAX checkbox?

We've checked and there isn't a way to just turn the faxing option off.

While Snappy Fax is a very good product, have you thought of switching over to a true SMTP service? It's faster, easier to use, and requires no software installation. It might also be considerably cheaper in the long run (no dedicated line rental and possibly cheaper per call charges), depending on what you fax.

Many CAPITAL users have reported that they like this service:

We are also aware of this service, although we have not tried it yet:

Hi Guys,

Try this...

From Main Menu FILE | Printer Setup | Form Settings

Set the Fax Printer: to the virtual fax printer software.

Maybe we should look at becoming Capital Consultants.
