fter I go to print a form I can wait 10 seconds or more before printing starts. Any ideas why this might be so slow?

Assuming this is not a technical problem with your network, check to see if you have set a very long time out period for print spooler checking inside Visual Builder.

1. Start Visual Builder
2. Select File|Print Job Manager
3. Click on Advanced button
4. Change timer to 1
5. Press OK repeatedly until you return to the main menu.

You will need to repeat the above procedure for each computer on your network.

This should resolve the problem if the previous setting was high, such as 5 or 10 or more.

Another problem that might cause slow printing is the way the printer IP is addressed on the network. This can be very slow for all users trying to access the printer, and it usually affects all applications. It might take a few seconds or longer to open the printer setup dialog using Word, when normally doing that would happen instantly.

ANother reason is tht on some printers eg Kyocera can take 10-14 Seconds to accept the first print job.
THe printer may be in Sleep mode and this takes time to "Wake Up"
