How do we tell a report to Sort and Group by Column A and then by Column B?

How do we tell a report to Sort and Group by a field that is not contained in the Columns of information for each Transaction?

Presumably you're asking this question because the Report Wizard does not provide these additional sorting combinations automatically. You can, however, easily specify a sort expression manually.

Click on one of the column fields of the report. Then press right mouse and select Body Properties. Click on the Links tab. Enter in the Sort: field the sort expression as a compound expression as follows.

Let's say the first column is called BANK and the second column is called BRANCH. Then enter the sort expression as:

    BANK+BRANCH

To answer your second question, you can do this by entering the field you want to sort on, directly into the Sort: field as above, even if it does not appear as a column on the report.
