I realise you can search on transaction number, date, account code, order number and so on when searching customer transaction history. Is there any way to search on the customer's delivery address as well?

If you are using the Enterprise or Corporate Edition then it is possible to set-up searches in many areas of CAPITAL on additional fields.

To do so on the customer transaction history file (typically invoices, adjustments, etc.) for delivery addresses, follow this example:

1. From the CAPITAL main menu select Special|Installation Workshop
2. From the Installation Workshop main menu select Build|Index Builder
3. When prompted to close CAPITAL down, do so.
4. Under Database Table list, select "Invoice"
5. Press the Add button
6. Fill in the record as follows:

Sort Name: UDDADDRESS
Description: Delivery Address
Sort Expression: DADDRESS
Scope Condition: Blank

Press OK
Press Update button, then Start, then Done (or Close) when finished.
Press Leave (or Close)

7. Exit Installation Workshop and restart CAPITAL
8. From the main menu select Section|Customers and click on Tran tab
9. Press Find button and under "Search On" you will now see "Delivery Address" added to your database as a search option.
