    Company Information on Financial Reports

    by JeffG » Fri Feb 05, 2016 1:30 pm

How do I edit the Financial Reports to include at least Company Name and ABN, and if not too much trouble - Start Date and Finish Date?
    Thanks in advance.

Financial statements are templates stored with the file extension .GPT.

You can open them using the Report Editor, inside the General Ledger. Or even using Notepad. What you describe goes in the header section of the template. Here is an example:

    Code: Select all

    #HEADER
    ![@NOJUSTIFY]
    [@CENTRE][@YOURNAME]
    ABN: [@YOURABN]
    For the Period Ending [@PERIODNAMEEND]

    Company Information on Reports

    Morning, thanks for the reply.

    In my Capital folder, I have Account1.gpt, Account2.gpt, Account3.gpt, Account4.gpt and account5.gpt.

These reports appear to co-inside with the reports in the Financial Statements section. If so, then the fields you describe that should go in the header are already there.

It appears as though, the reports are not picking the information company customisation section.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

    Update

Ok, I have confirmed that I am accessing the correct report files. It simply appears as though the reports are not picking up the fields [@YOURNAME] AND [@YOURABN]

in my company settings I have:

Company Name is "Sydney Gelato and Packaging Supplies"
Report Heading is "Sydney Gelato and Packaging Supplies"
    ABN is "159 944 886"
    ACN is "84159944886"

Is the name too long, is there a character limitation?

    Thanks

Using [@YOURNAME] and [@YOURABN] etc., is optional. You can just replace [@YOURABN] with the actual text you want to appear. I.e.,

    [@YOURABN] --> ABN 149 944 886

If that doesn't work either, I suspect there is some other problem with the template, possibly the header section is defined twice or there is a typo in the definition.
