Has anyone been brave enough to update to Windows 10 and run Capital with multi simultaneous users successfully?

I'm not that brave yet because of the of the problems encountered with trmsrv.dll experienced between windows 8 and windows 8.1.

I look forward to reading your comments.

Thanks in advance.

I've upgraded a computer that is not very important which I use for web browsing. It's crashed once already and this computer never crashed until I updated to Windows 10. So I'm not comfortable putting it on a work computer just yet.

We've received no reported issues from our user base regarding any known problems with Windows 10.

FOOTNOTE: Although Windows 10 has no known compatibility problems with our software, we have noted in our own offices that several of our Windows 10 systems have had their start menus corrupted. One was caused by some sort of conflict with Dropbox and the other unexplained. Given this track record (2 out of 2 with recent system problems) we are not rushing to move more machines over to Windows 10.

Good Morning and Merry Christmas. Since updating to windows 10, I consistently experience hardware reboots several times per day.

Having swapped out many many hardware components, I have now reviewed the windows 10 error logs.

The information below is a very frequent windows 10 reported error.

Any ideas and direction would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the data from the log:

The error report is suggesting that the spell check library is conflicting. Try reinstalling your application files again and if that makes no difference delete your CAPSPELL.DLL file and see if that stabilises your machine.

Needless to say, users routinely run Windows 10 machines with our software without incident. Although we have experienced Windows 10 start menu corruptions on our own machines multiple times, but that is related specifically to some problem inside Windows 10, and has nothing directly to do with our application software of course.

Thank you for that.

I note that the CAPSPELL.DLL file is dated 27/5/2006 running on Windows 10.

I have renamed the file and rebooted the server.

Let's hope this stabilises the machine.

Given the date of this file, is it actually being used by my copy of BMS?

It's used to spell check in rich text areas such as when writing emails and entering (non system) notes. Once a spell check system is developed there isn't really any need to keep adding to its functionality.
