Selected a required date for a Purchase Order for tomorrow.... changed calendar to view the calendar for the sales person, but the follow up for the quote did not appear, check the settings for calendar for the different reminders, and follow up was checked.... anything else I should check?

When you have the calendar open did you select View|Calendar Entities. And then check that "Quotations Open" and/or "Quotations Accepted" are ticked?
