    Does Outlook need to be installed on the PC which is running the Capital Office client for the calendar to be able to synch to the user's Outlook calendar?

    Yes because CAPITAL is transferring the calendar information to Outlook via the Microsoft Object Linking and Embedding communications protocols. If Outlook is not installed, CAPITAL cannot talk to it.
