What is the best way to set up quantity breaks (not customer specific)

We presently have different stock items for each break point - is this the best way to have it?

Put global quantity breaks through Customer Special Pricing. Access it through the front menu (not from the customers area).

From main menu: Tables|Pricing|Customer Special Pricing.

Press Add.

Leave all fields blank except "From Product", the "Discount Value" (your sell price here) and the "Quantity Break". Don't forget to set-up a zero quantity break rule to force a default price in case an operator triggers a quantity break price, then reduces the quantity.
