I can't change the diminish status of a stock item. Is there some way I can do this if I make a mistake?

Once you've sold an item you can't change its diminishing status. Remember, a diminishing item means stock levels go down and a non-diminishing item means they don't get affected. The software doesn't let you change this setting once you've made a sale otherwise the sales history/stock movements reports would make no sense...

The only thing you can do now is delete the current item or change its product code. And create the item again. If you want to copy an existing item into a new item to save you retying a lot of information, go to the item you want to copy and hold down the SHIFT key, then press the Add button. The details of the old item will be copied into the new item, except for the product code.
