I have Version: 8.4.979a SP2, Software Build: 979a, Database: 8.00q.

When I go to:
Transactions - Purchase Order - Open, all purchase orders from the beginning of time are displayed. Including those that are Delivered.

How do I get this system to only show the Open Purchase Orders?

As part of my geography lesson around CBO, I also did:
Transactions - Purchase Order - Account - Enter and account code - then Open, and I still get the same results show all purchased delivered, open, suspended etc.

I suspect that in a matter of time, I am going to end up with a very long unfiltered list in the Open tab window.

Unless a grid has a filter option on the action panel you're not able to filter that list.
