Is there a means of running a Query on login in V8? We would like to filter the customers displayed to the same department as the user logging in.

You should be able to do this by assigning the variable CustomerFilter to your filter expression, inside the R-SECLOG.MAC script. Further information is found in the help system.

However, if the application has been setup correctly with 'departmental restrictions' applied, then what you describe should be the default behaviour anyway. Perhaps set this up first - search help system for 'departmental restrictions' before attempting to configure a custom filter.

    Sales Force Manager

The department filter works in Capital Office. The department filter however seems not to be working for in Sales Force Manager. The same user logging into the two systems will see Department Filter applied in Capital Office for in listing the customers, but in Sales Force Manager, the user sees all customers.

    Thank you.

There is no departmental filtering support in the 8.3 release of Sales Force Manager. However, the feature was added to the 8.4 release (officially) out in July.
