Error when we try to enter times in service manager using V8

    by terry L » Thu Apr 19, 2012 11:51 am

We have an error that comes up when entering times in service manager using V8
    Variable does not exist
    FROMTIME
    ERROR:BASE 1003
    Called from JOBTIMEEDIT32:READDATA(1337), JOBTIMEEDIT32:ONINITDIALOG(974)

    it then quits us out,

We do not have this problem using 7.6

The field FROMTIME was added to the database in V8 back in July 2010. If you are getting this error message it suggests that data was copied or moved after the upgrade was performed.

You can force the upgrade software to perform the upgrade again as follows:

    1. Launch Upgrade.exe again.
    2. Hold down the SHIFT key and press Begin Upgrade button
    3. Each time you are prompted, enter 760U
    4. Press OK

Do a back-up of your data before you proceed.

Hi i tried that, but its not asking me for a prompt just goes through and says upgrade complete,
I just tried with the new 8.1 version still the same problem as above, even after running upgrade.exe and then pressing shift key and begin upgrade button.

i'm actually trying to do this remotely using RDC, and also tried using logmein, but not sure how well the shift key works in this environment.

If you've having a problem with SHIFT key, launch UPGRADE from the command line like so:

    UPGRADE.EXE /FORCE

And this will be equivalent to holding down the SHIFT key.
