I was hoping to see an option to expand kits in service manager to speed up entries of common or repetitive tasks and jobs.

The line "Kits do not expand when invoices are created using the Service Manager as this would potentially alter the agreed job charges." says it all and I wonder if there is another way to achieve similar effects - in particular a list of parts and or consumables when ever a standard service is performed.?

The closest you could come to achieving a result such as that would be to expand the kit onto a quote, then load the quote into the service manager. I.e., Toolbox|Grab Quote.
