We are planning on purchasing Capital Enterprise within the next two weeks. There are a few limitations to what we want to do but overall the package meets most of our requirements.

We have just started a final test whereby we are populating the databases with real stock, customers, suppliers etc. and we are taking a backup at each stage.

Once we buy the full version, will we be able to use a backup file (full of customers, suppliers, stock, extended stock listings etc - but no transactions) as the actual company file, or will we need to start from scratch with a new company file and add everything again?

After payment is received, you will be emailed a special file that will activate your trial version and make it fully functional. Any features you have not paid for will also become unavailable to you at that point.

However, as of the time of this writing, the evaluation version is still 7.5 and the current release is 7.6. It would be recommended that you download the latest version after you are issued a user name and password. Downloads to the latest release always include an upgrade program that will convert your database to be compatible with the latest version automatically.
