    Customer Import

    by Dyna » Tue Feb 19, 2008 11:31 am

I am trying to update the terms field and some other fields of my customer database using an external file. I have tried importing using both dbase3 files and text delimited files. But in both cases when my files have 0 terms , Capital for some reason imports all the 0's as 30. All my other fields import correctly except the terms field.
    Any help will be appreciated.

The system will not let you import customer terms as zero. If the system determines that you have specified zero terms, it will default the terms entry to 30 day (calendar month aged).

The system assumes that if you are importing accounts the accounts will have terms. Your only option if there are a large number of accounts to change is to have a script or report written to zero the terms field, if you don't wish to do this manually.

Yes you can do this by using the SCRWrite("CUSTERMS", 0) function within the customer accounts screen script area.
