    by rancomp » Fri Dec 21, 2007 8:37 am

We haave a LG Laptop. No physical Printer port. Capital PDF Printer is installed.
When trying to Email using Electronic Document Exchange Visual Builder Locks up and NO PDF File is Created. There is an EMI File but no PDF.
Have uninstalled Capital, And have done a fresh, clean install still have the problem.
I can connect another Laptop with a Printer port on to the network map drives etc and use it asa a workstaion on the Network and I can produce PDFS for the emailing from Capital on the old Laptop, BUT not the LG.

I also have an ACER Laptop, no Printer port and when operating as a Stand alone computer I do not have a Problem.
ALl suggestions on how to fix welcome.

Are you logged in as an administrator or have administrator rights?

Does the software return any error messages?

Does the CAPITAL Event Log report any problems?

If you run PDFSetup.bat (found in CAPITAL folder) does this report any problems or return any error codes?

Since you're saying that the problem only occurs when you connect to a network check to see if you have mixed up different versions of the PDF library files. These are:

    acfpdf.drv
    acf*.dll
    cdintf.dll

which should be in your \CAPITAL folder.

Make sure if you are running CAPITAL 7.5 or above that the date stamps on these files are all dated 2007. If you have any 2003 versions of these files on your system, remove them. Also reboot your computers to ensure that any wrong versions are unloaded from memory.
