We are currently in the process of moving a customer form NT4 to Server 2003. When we copy the data across to the new machine and map the machines to the share on the new server for them to use capital from. The problem is that on the server 2003 machine capital is taking significantly longer to process an invoice. On the old NT4 machine it flies through all of the items and then completes the invoice, on the new machine it spends time on each item and on a long invoice the time difference goes from 10 seconds to about 30 seconds. Do you know of any possible performance tweaks to get the speed on the server 2003 machine to match the NT4 machine?

There are several threads on this subject and technical bulletins that cover performance issue topics. You don't say what version of CAPITAL the end-user is running, but generally speaking any reasonably current version should run very fast under Server 2003.
