suitable for medial industry + serial numbers/pacemakers?

We are a small co. in the medical industry which supply medical products like pacemakers and require a stock system where we are able to enter in the stock serial no. for each pacemaker when the stock arrive. However when it is sold we still need to be able to have the information of the serial no. and need to add information of when it was implanted and the patient information etc. We would also like to be able to do account procedures, i.e. invoicing, sales reports etc. We only would need one user. Could you please advise if your software is suitable, the cost and what systems it runs on? Thank you for your assistance.

Based on your outline CAPITAL should be suitable. You can set-up serial number tracking for inventory in and out of the software. You can also track other properties, such as patient information and an implant date, just as you would a serial number. This additional information can be added at the time of invoicing or can be added later. Alternately, you could create a purpose specific database within CAPITAL itself, and record the serial number and patient details on it.

This approach is superior to trying to track the information in a separate database such as Access, or in a spreadsheet, as your business data will be fully integrated with your medical data. There will then be less chance that the information between the two systems will go out of sync.

For pricing information please go to our pricing page. The smallest system we sell begins at 5 users but the software is still competitively priced and affordable for small business. You will require at least the base Professional Edition system and the Serial Number and Stock Tracing Extensions component.
