NOTE: This help topic is obsolete and no longer applies to current software versions.

You may wish to uninstall the PDF printer driver in order to re-install an earlier version of CAPITAL or if you wish to disable PDF generating capabilities on a particular PC. To manually uninstall the CAPITAL PDF printer driver carry out the following steps:

    1. Run the command below from the folder where you have installed CAPITAL. For example, F:\CAPITAL

(Versions of CAPITAL prior to 7.6)

    pdfconf -u "CapitalPDF"

(Version of CAPITAL as per current releases)

    install -u "CapitalPDF"

    2. Reboot your system **Very important step

    3. Search and remove all instances of the files below in the indicated folders:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86
    acpdfui*.dll
    acpdfu*.dll (possibly not installed)
    acpdf*.dll
    acfpdf.txt
    cdintf*.dll (possibly not installed)

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\2
    acpdfui*.dll
    acpdfu*.dll (possibly not installed)
    acpdf*.dll
    acfpdf.txt
    cdintf*.dll (possibly not installed)

    C:\WINDOWS\system32
    Cdintf*.dll

NOTE: * denotes version number ex: cdintf251.dll

    4. Verify that "CapitalPDF" driver is no longer in the printer's folder under the Windows Control Panel.

If you wish to reinstall the PDF driver, run PDFSETUP program from the console, found in your \CAPITAL folder.
