Can't Email After Updating BitDefender Anti-Virus

If you have CAPITAL applications running across a LAN connection and can no longer email, receiving error 999 instead, and you have updated your BitDefender software, do the following:

1. Open BitDefender anti-virus console from taskbar.
2. Click on Protection
3. Click on Firewall - Settings
4. Click on Settings
5. Click on Default Application Behaviour.
6. Next to Ethernet change from "automatic" to "allow"
7. Save settings and exit.
