    ORDSETFOCUS()

    by John Dirkas » Thu Sep 08, 2005 1:38 am

    Hi Peoples out there in Capital Office Land.

    Can anyone fill me in on the use of ORDSETFOCUS()

    I gather it is a legacy DOS CBS function but I was not able to get any hits on it in either the Capital Office or Visual builder help files.

    Thanks in advance of any response.

    It's an internal function undocumented in CBS used to control the sorting order of the table. If you need to do this you should be using the more powerful function OrderTable() documented in CBS, although that function is relatively recent and may not be in many running copies of CAPITAL at the moment. OrdSetFocus() will work in the current versions of CAPITAL and all anticipated future versions. Generally if you just need to find information use the Find() function and specify the sort order of the table at that point.
